Village stay

This 4-night village stay is the perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the unique and beautiful landscapes and culture of Beqa Island.

Location
The Program begins with two nights at Lawaki Beach House, followed by a two-night stay in either Naceva or Naiseuseu village. It provides an authentic village experience while also time to snorkel the coral reef of the Locally Managed Marine Area.

Days 1 and 2: Arrival – Boat travel from Pacific Harbor to Lawaki Beach House. Spend time relaxing or snorkel the pristine waters of Lawaki’s Locally Managed Marine Area (LMMA). The Lawaki reef is a short (one minute) swim from the beach and has hard and soft coral, relatively untouched by bleaching and a great diversity of fishes and marine life. Lawaki will also assist you in preparing for your village stay.

Day 3: Village transfer by boat from Lawaki to either Naceva or Naiseuseu. You will be greeted by your village host and participate in the ceremonial process of Sevusevu. Engage in any number of opportunities (refer to Activities) in the village.

Day 4: Village – Continue with your activities or simply converse with village residents to get to know one another better. Share stories, learn about the Fijian Way of Life and the future prospects for the village.

Day 5: Departure – Expect an emotional farewell from community members as you depart for Pacific Harbor by boat.
